Wind, rain, storm or an unexpected fall in a pool or creek, it doesn’t bother the Puffin. A little washing off, a little drying and the Puffin is ready to be used again.
And what to say about the inside: the roof prisms provided with phase correcting coatings for an optimal view sharpness and Super High Reflectivity mirror coatings for optimal light transparency of those prisms. As for the multi-coatings on the lenses: everything has been thought about. The Puffin provides a knife sharp and crystal clear view with a minimum of color mistakes. Focusing? No problem with the compact central focusing. Moreover, you can easily correct the difference in strengths between both eyes by using a ring in the right eye piece. Are you a spectacle wearer? No problem, twist in the eye piece hoods and the entire field view lies in front of you, because the eye relief, 13 mm, is more than enough. Are you a spectacle wearer? Rotate the eye piece hoods upwards and fix them with a click mechanism, it’s a piece of cake.
The slim Puffin fits your hands perfectly and is covered with a nice green hard rubber covering. Weighing only 368 grams the Puffin may be considered a light weight with the achievements of a heavy weight. Very recommendable for binoculars users who are fond of travelling.
