BYNOLYT SEABIRD 7X50
The Seabird is THE light giant for water sport enthusiasts who like to make use of a compass in their binoculars. The binoculars lay very stable, compact and very light in the hand and in combination with the 7 mm magnification and the more than 7 mm exit pupil, it provides a solid steady view, even on a rocking ship.
In the clear field glass of the Seabird, a scale division has been projected. With this scale division, distances can be calculated by means of a known object height. The compass bearings of the built-in, stabilized accurate Suunto compass have been projected in the left eye piece. In the dark, the compass bearings can be read with the help of a built-in soft red light, a color that does not disturb the night view of the eye.
Add to this that the Seabird is waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas and it will need no further explanation that the binoculars are perfectly suitable for water sport enthusiasts or professional shipmasters. Due to the large exit pupil the binoculars are very bright. This brightness can be used to its optimum because the Seabird optics are supplied with Porro prisms and broadband multi-coating, which take care for a balanced color reproduction with high transmission over the entire sensitive area of the human eye. This results in a crystal clear and sharp view.
The Seabird has a central as well as an individual focus which is very useful, especially for people with a big difference in strength between both eyes. These people might have problems seeing the scale division in the left eye piece sharply. By separate focusing of the left eye piece this is no longer a problem while the right eye piece can also be adjusted on the desired sharpness.
Spectacle wearers can click in eye piece hoods, so that they can oversee the entire field view. Due to the super large free eye distance this is no problem at all.
The Seabird provides a sharp view from 10 meters. This is perfect for use on the water since the observing distances are generally large on the water.
The Seabird is covered with a black synthetic covering, which feels nice and warm.
It is certainly worth mentioning that during the production of the Seabird, environment-friendly materials were used as much as possible.
Summarizing: nice, sharply priced binoculars for water sport enthusiasts. The binoculars are not only user friendly and have optical quality, but are also produced with considerable attention to environmental-economical awareness.
